I put on weight after 7 weeks of exercising?

Question by Ladybug64: I put on weight after 7 weeks of exercising? A year ago I got a lap band installed, I ate high protein low carb diets, but the pounds do not budge. I am exercising now for 7 weeks in the gym, 5 times a week. I see that I am thinner, in fact my rings fall off my fingers and my pants are loose. Today I went on the scale, but instead of the expected weight loss I weigh 3 pounds more than before I started the exercise program. What am I doing wrong? Best
