Does this sound like a good menu for weight loss?

Question by Princess of a King: Does this sound like a good menu for weight loss? 1 cup of beans a day (not refried) 4-5 fresh fruits 4-5 fresh veggies 1 pound of salad What else should I eat I do not want to eat around 1400 calories daily. Also maybe about 1/4 cup of nuts for protein and good fats. Yeah, I am going to add the nuts :) Could a baked potato or baked sweet potato be my carbs? I might bo a cup of so of brown nice, but I am trying to avoid breads/pasta my weakness, lol.
